WEDDING PORTRAITS
Creating Your Unique Portrait
Mixed Media
We use what is called "mixed media" in designing your paintings. Specifically, that means we create (not auto-generate) them using digital painting software to start, output the image to canvas using giclée technology, continue to paint with other media, including acrylic, pastel, ink, and pencil, then finish with a varnish which has UV protection.
Let's be clear, while the process we employ does use the computer as a tool, the paintings are not generated using a filter or effect. Each piece is crafted by a trained artist who treats the screen as a canvas and the stylus as a brush, which gives them the ability to take advantage of many benefits:
Hand-crafted
Benefits of Technology
-
Time - Because we don't have to wait for paint to dry (and also thanks to the UNDO key) we can create a painting much faster than traditional media, which often means we can do it in time for your service
-
Cost - Time equals money, which means an added savings, and we pass that along to you
-
Accuracy - Using the computer as a tool means that the likenesses will remain true, all while maintaining an artistic and painterly style
-
Multiple Pieces - Since much of the work is done digitally, it means that the same paintings can be produced multiple times at different sizes, making it so all family members can have their own version (although each piece will look slightly different, because we are using traditional media as well)

REBECCA
I’ve hired Inspire Paintings to do 5 different portraits! They each have been unique, and all have been so beautiful! A painting has a way of remaining timeless, so the subject isn’t stuck in a decade as they might be in a photo. That’s why I keep coming back! My daughter is also about to get married, so I will be hiring Inspire to do portraits of her and her new husband to display at their reception and have in their home.
RUSS
I'm very happy with my painting of my dad. The likeness was amazing and the quality was top-notch. His smile and the light in his eyes looked so authentic to the point that we all cried when we saw it for the first time! It is a beautiful tribute to a man who we remember as being full of life We hung the painting prominently in our entryway so we can enjoy him all day every day!
ALISON
I love the painting of my mom, which is amazing given that the original reference photo was black and white. Also, I couldn't believe that it was done in time for the funeral. We displayed it there and at the graveside service. Having the painting made all the difference because it was so bright and vibrant, just like she was. It will be something that we cherish forever and pass down to our kids.
